All bedrooms in Bagatelle and Glenfield have a Nurse Call alarm/assistance cord, smoke detectors, power points for television and automatic door closures. Many of the rooms have full en suite facilities. A policy of continuous improvement for both Homes is reviewed annually resulting in regular capital investment.
Rooms are cleaned regularly by the Housekeeping staff who will endeavour to do so with the minimum of disturbance. Clothing is collected for laundering by the Housekeeping staff on request.
While individual rooms are more than adequately furnished, incoming residents are encouraged to bring with them some personal possessions. Residents may bring their own radio and/or television with them into the Homes. Due to lack of space small portable sets are preferred.
A personal telephone can be installed at a charge. With certain conditions a personal telephone may be installed in double rooms. A mobile phone is available for the use of those in shared rooms.
Bathrooms with bath, shower, toilet and wash hand basins are located near all bedrooms, dining room and lounges. For any resident unable to use the bath without assistance there are bathrooms fitted with mechanical lifts.
